Oklahoma! - Audience Feedback
"To all involved with Oklahoma!.
My friend and I attended the production last night (Friday) and came away with nothing but praise for you. We have attended many productions of the society and none can beat this one. It was excellent. Whether or not it was the fact that the performance was held at a better venue (I think not) or the cast just outshone themselves (more likely) it will remain as one of the best shows ever.
I cannot wait for the tickets to go on sale for “Hot Mikado”.
Good luck for to-night and ‘break a leg’."
Fran Hall (Lymm)
"Even better than usual, if that is possible! Jean Williams excelled
herself with her choreography on the larger stage. But why no November
2007 show?"
Diane Fewster
"What a great show. Well performed by everyone. Congratulations.
What a pity we have to wait until next year to see you all again.
Well done"
Jim & Sylvia Davies
(Warrington)
"Many congratulations to the Zodiac on the outstanding performance of
Oklahoma! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and were delighted to see
how well your transfer to the Brindley had been achieved. Thank you so
much for inviting us. The best of luck for your future productions"
Brenda and Graham Pearson (Runcorn).
"Please pass on our congratulations to everyone involved in Oklahoma, it was superb. I would especially like to say how impressed I was with the costumes this year. In all the 9 years I have been attending
your shows I think this year's costumes were the best. Once again
Congratulations and we look forward to the next show in 2008."
Mo & Rob Patheyjohns (Warrington)
"Once again excellent production on Friday. We had about about 7 other
members in on Friday all of whom gave a glowing report, so please pass
on our collective congratulations to all of the cast. A real crowd
pleaser!"

Oklahoma! - NODA review
For their first production at the Brindley Theatre at Runcorn, the
Zodiacs chose a well known, tried and tested musical - and what a bright
and breezy production it was.
There was a lively freshness from start to finish from the principals
and the chorus alike and it was hard to believe that Oklahoma is now 64
years old.
Jennifer Ball and Michael Hetherington were ideally cast as Laurey and
Curly, both bringing experience and superb vocal talents to sparkling
solo's and duets in addition to taking their own respective parts in the
dream ballet.
Carmel Leather gave a sterling performance as Aunt Eller, and Stuart
McNeil, who also appeared in the dream ballet, brought a threatening
presence and fine voice to the role of Jud Fry.
Light hearted relief was provided by Kate Murrell as Ado Annie Carnes
with remarkable dead-pan humour from Neil Silcock in one of the best
performances of Ali Hakim I have seen. The role of Will Parker was in
the capable hands (and feet!) of Tim Jones, and Roy Youds completed the
principal line-up with a trademark performance as Andrew Carnes.
Charades' costumes, Proscenium's scenery and Howorth Wrightson's props
all added to the overall excellence of the production which was
magnificently accompanied at a cracking pace by the orchestra consisting
mainly of young students from the Lymm High School under the baton of
NODA NW Award nominee Michael J Scott.
The high standard of the production bodes well for the future of the
Zodiacs in their new location and I wish them well.
For me, a lasting, mind-boggling, memory of the show will be the double
cartwheel across the stage performed by Valarie Ball, mother of
Jennifer, during the 'Farmer and the Cowman' routine. Well done!
